How it Works:
-45 minute classes with similar-age groupings
-Kids sign in to Zoom or Google Meet at a set time each program
-Students engage in fun reading, writing, and inquiry projects based on the books. We will be conducting science experiments pulled from the storyline.
-We unfortunately cannot offer make-up classes if a student misses a class. Programs are non-refundable

Dr. Edward Kang received his doctorate in Molecular Neuroscience from Northwestern University and has spent the better part of his career immersed in science teaching and research. Ed has spent time teaching at Northwestern University, and at Whitney Young Magnet High School. Ed was selected from over 40 countries to present at Falling Walls Engage in Berlin, Germany, and he was recently invited to an assembly at the United Nations Headquarters for progressive science education. He has been a keynote speaker at the (STEAM)2 educational conference and was asked to present disruptive innovation in science at the SXSW conference.
Amy Schwartzbach-Kang is a Certified Reading Specialist who specializes in teaching reading comprehension and writing to kids K-12. Amy earned a M.Ed in Instructional Curriculum & Design, an M.Ed in Educational Literacy, and is a Certified Learning Specialist understanding the specific needs of Diverse Learners and students with IEPs. She has also earned National Board Certification, “Master Teacher” status, ranking her in the top 3% of teachers nationwide. Amy has been a featured speaker at literature conferences, helping other teachers incorporate interactive writing and literacy strategies into their classrooms, and she currently works with teachers and schools to incorporate STEAM with literature into their curriculum. Amy was named a Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards Fellow for her work disrupting science education by pulling math and science lessons from literature.
